Today I had a client come in and asked me to help rehabilitate her knee. She also suffers from fibromyalgia and knows that I understand her body in a way many health professionals don't. It is not always smooth sailing despite the work you do to heal your body. Things will still happen and go wrong. There may not be an answer to every problem. What we are learning is how to persevere through these obstacles, how to know and believe that everything will be okay (and trusting that). It is about how we react and help ourselves heal when things do go wrong (that is where we will see progress). So yes my client hurt her knee again despite all of the rehabilitation, but now she is recovering quicker, she is in better spirits, and she has an amazing mindset/outlook. We are not looking for perfection, but we are looking at how we are feeling, thinking and breathing. All of these healing modalities help to prevent these injuries. This is another reminder that consistency is key!
